Readiness Quiz

- Do you meet the academic prerequisite for participating in this program (i.e., 12 semester hours of college credit or an approved waiver)?

- Do you meet the technical requirements for participating in this program?

- Have you cleared at least 10 hours weekly from your schedule to work on your course?

- Have you selected the library you will use and verified the books?

If you answered the above questions affirmatively, then you're ready to begin your paralegal education at the UTSA Online Paralegal Program!  You can find detailed steps for new students registration here. The registration form can be downloaded and printed from this link. Deadlines and registration information can be viewed by clicking here to go to the "Registration and Tuition" page. Once you have been admitted to the program, you may want to apply for a loan for your tuition. Please apply as soon as possible. It can take up to six weeks to approve and process your loan and receive your check.

Student loans are available to qualified applicants through two loan companies, Sallie Mae and Wells Fargo Education ConnectionSM Career Loan. Apply online for the Sallie Mae Smart Loan or call 1-888-272-5543, Apply online for the Wells Fargo Education Connection Career Loan at www.wellsfargo.com/student.

Tuition is due in full by the registration payment deadline. However, students seeking student loans will be allowed to attend class pending receipt of the loan check if a loan preapproval has been received and a nonrefundable deposit of $150 is paid to UTSA on or before the registration payment deadline. The deposit amount will be deducted from the tuition owed. It is your responsibility to insure that payment for your tuition has been made to UTSA.

Registration for paralegal courses is done by the Program Coordinator once your registration has been accepted and your tuition paid, then your username, password will be emailed to you along with instructions for the first time log in. Please follow the deadlines. Register early to hold your position in class.

You may also wish to ask your employer to reimburse all or a portion of the tuition for your program. While this alternative may not be available in all cases, click here for some tips on investigating your options.
