Tuition & Loan Information

Tuition
The total cost for the program is $4,800, or $1,600 per course. Additionally, students should expect to spend approximately $200 per course on required textbooks. (Paralegal 1, Paralegal 2, Paralegal 3)

Career Training and Education Loan Information
Once you have been admitted to the program, you may want to apply for a loan for your tuition. Please apply as soon as possible. It can take up to six weeks to approve and process your loan and receive your check.

Career training/educational loans are available to qualified applicants through Wells Fargo or other private lenders. Wells Fargo is not affiliated with UTSA. There are other lenders who also offer career training loans. Students are not limited to Wells Fargo and are encouraged to explore all of their options, to include their personal financial institutions.

  • Please note that UTSA has two separate school codes. To avoid confusion, please be sure to choose UTSA ONLINE PROGRAM when selecting the school that you plan to attend. The UTSA school code is 010115, the branch is 99, your enrollment in this program is considered at least “half time”, if you need further assistance please contact us at paralegal@utsa.edu. Your anticipated graduation/completion date is 11 months from when you begin the program. Disbursement dates should be at least two weeks before the start of each semester, or use January 2, May 1, and September 1.

Disbursement of loan proceeds can take up to six weeks, so participants who are interested in applying for a loan are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Loan approval turnaround is shortened considerably by applying online. The lenders generally approve loans within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the applications. Applicants who are not employed or who have had credit "blips" are encouraged to have a co-borrower (parent, spouse, sibling, close friend, etc.) apply with them.

Tuition is due in full by the registration payment deadline. However, students seeking student loans will be allowed to attend class pending receipt of the loan check if a loan preapproval has been received and a nonrefundable deposit of $150 is paid to UTSA on or before the registration payment deadline. The deposit amount will be deducted from the tuition owed. It is your responsibility to insure that payment for your tuition has been made to UTSA.
