Paralegal 2: Law, Legal Drafting & Computers

Course Description
In Paralegal 2, students will study tort law, contracts and business organizations. They will learn to use LexisNexis, which provides online access to statutes, codes and case law, for legal research to complement the traditional legal research methods they learned in Paralegal 1. Students will also learn to use ProDoc, which streamlines legal document drafting, to draft various documents relating to tort law and business organizations. As in Paralegal 1, students will complete a variety of online exercises, threaded discussions, live chats and readings to develop both the theory of the law and the requisite practical applications to enter or advance in jobs supporting Texas lawyers.
